Coquelicot et Papillons (Poppy and Butterflies)- Late April/early May in the Languedoc and the poppies are extraordinary. This was painted when they were just starting to pop. I'd just arrived in France for my first truly solo trip. Took a walk through the vineyards of Chateau les Carrasses in Capestang. Poppies and vines were popping around me and little white butterflies followed danced around me. Such peace and beauty all around me!
